You've got mail
I remember vividly the first time I walk to the mailbox to pick the mail up. It was a beautiful summer day, and I felt like I was in an old Hollywood movie. We don't have mailboxes like these in Brazil, they are boring and inconspicuous.
I would visit the mailbox once each day, hopeful of finding some letters or postcards from my family and friends in Brazil. Now we get only bills and junk mail. Family and friends only send messages on their cell phones. Replies come instantly, instead of having to wait for weeks, yet I do not get what I've been waiting for - a handwritten letter.
